Anny
is currently a freelance writer for the Australian sketch show
Comedy Inc- The Late Shift. The show was recently nominated
for a Rose D’or TV award in Switzerland.
She has just helmed the much anticipated comedy shorts Atonement
Tonight and Barney the Terrier which will screen across the
U.S, Canada, Europe and Australia in 2006. Atonement Tonight
won a Columbine Award for best screenplay at the 2006 Moondance
International Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Her
Australian political comedy The Ball was short listed for nomination
in the best live action short category of the 2004 Academy Awards,
was nominated for a United Nations Media Peace Prize and won
a 2005 Christopher Wetzel comedy award from Chicago’s
Gene Siskel Film Center. The film screened at more than 60 film
festivals around the World, was sold to Australian TV, released
on DVD in Europe and features in the 2006 World Cup Australian
TV broadcast on local network SBS.
Anny’s
script The Adventures of Roman Pilgrim won in its category as
best screenplay at the Moondance International Film Festival
and at the Disney sponsored Santa Clarita International Family
Film Festival in Los Angeles. The script was a semi finalist
at the 2003 Slamdance International Film Festival and the corresponding
film is expected to be released in 2007.
In 2001, she consulted to The Jim Henson Creature Shop, London
and Musical Entertainment AG of Frankfurt, Germany on the International
productions of “Pan The Musical”, “Bizzare
The Musical” and “Noah's Ark The Musical”.
In the same year she was asked to consult on the European tour
of TechnoOpera and the production of Pope John Paul’s
first Internet broadcast.
She
has directed and produced two Woody Allen one-act plays '”Death”
& “God”, at Sydney's Tom Mann Theatre, to rave
reviews. As a result of the success of the plays she was mentored
through a W.I.F.T. mentor scheme with Mark Lazarus of FoxIcon,
the then joint venture between Mel Gibson’s Icon Productions
and 20th Century Fox.
Anny
lives and works in Sydney, Australia and holds Bachelor degrees
in Science (Applied Chem) and Laws and a Masters Degree in Arts.
